成果简介	NOVELTY - The composite armor barrier has a multilayer protective element that is formed from a ceramic plate (7) on which an aramid backing is fixed with an adhesive substance on the side of the protected object, and on the side of the entrance of the destructive warhead, where the ceramic plate is made on basis of silicon, boron, corundum, aluminum and titanium. A layer of metal woven mesh (4) that is filled with a polyurethane glue (3) is installed to which layers of aramid material (1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) are attached from the front and back, whose surface is adjacent to the ceramic layer, where the metal woven mesh is made of aluminum, titanium, or steel. The ceramic plate is additionally glued with a poly vinyl chloride (PVC) film of 400-500 micrometer thick on one or both sides. USE - Composite armor barrier used in manufacture of protective elements of automobiles, armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and rolling stock and personal protective device e.g. bulletproof vest and armor shield. ADVANTAGE - The composite armor barrier has increased strength properties, versatility and effective weight and size characteristics. The composite armor barrier provides a high level of protection of objects from small arms bullets, including large-caliber ones, and from fragments of exploded warheads.
