成果简介NOVELTY - Invention refers to medicine, namely to clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for prediction of risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus in males. A sample of peripheral venous blood is taken. DNA extraction is followed by analysis of polymorphic variant rs17526264 (A>T) of the GPX4 gene. In case detection of genotypes rs17526264-A/T or rs17526264-T/T, high risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus is predicted. If observing the genotype rs17526264-A/A, a low risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus is predicted. USE - Medicine.
