| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - A self-flushing system for weirs comprises a weir structure constructed from galvanized iron (G.I), designed to store water on the upstream side and control water flow to the downstream channel; at least one removable G.I. gate operably connected to the structure, where the gate is designed to be opened and closed to facilitate the controlled release of water and sediment from the upstream section to downstream section; and adjustable baffle walls installed within the upstream canal section. Each baffle wall is constructed to withstanding water flow and is adjustable in angle. USE - Self-flushing system used for weirs used for both silt removal and electricity generation using wind turbines. Can also be used for removing deposited silt by creating turbulence on upstream side of bandhara. ADVANTAGE - The system enhances the efficiency of silt removal without the need for additional desilting equipment, making it a cost-effective solution for maintaining water storage capacity in weirs. The self-flushing system provides a sustainable and economical solution for irrigation and water management in drought-prone regions.
