成果简介	NOVELTY - A clay mold is prepared by preparing wooden stencil as per ASTM and other standards including cutting the wooden block in desired shape and size; flattening clay dough by the stencil to get the impression of the same, then carefully removing the wood stencil; uniform application of release agent in the inner surface of the clay mold; preparing the resin mix by adding minimum amount of resin with requisite amount of hardener; pouring it in the caly mold; leaving the resin hardener mix in the mold for curing time based on the resin/hardening agent ratio; and removing the polymer/article. USE - Process for casting polymer e.g. polyurethane, epoxy matrices and their composite materials, for research and industrial purposes of the polymeric material for testing as per global standards. ADVANTAGE - The clay mold exhibits minimal adhesion to cured polymeric materials when pre-treated with a suitable and safe natural lubricant or release agent, selected from natural/synthetic oil preferably coconut oil. Uniform application of suitable release agent enhances the cost-effectiveness of the polymer sample preparation process, particularly for Polyurethane, epoxy matrices, and their composite materials. Application of the mold release agent is facilitated using a soft-bristled brush. The method for sample preparation using clay as a mold material and eliminates the need for traditional, non-reusable moulds by offering a reusable and easily mouldable alternative. The raw material wastage is minimized, manufacturing costs are reduced, and adhere to global testing standards efficiently.
