成果简介NOVELTY - Magnesium oxide/graphitic carbon nitride/polypyrrole (MGP) ternary composite based electrode material comprises magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles incorporated in the layered structure of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) and polypyrrole (PPy), where magnesium nitrate hexahydrate (Mg(NO3)2. 6H2O) is present in x mmol, where x comprises 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and pyrrole solution is present in an amount of 0.5 ml. USE - Magnesium oxide/graphitic carbon nitride/polypyrrole ternary composite based electrode material used for supercapacitor applications. ADVANTAGE - The electrode material has improved electrochemical properties. The electrochemical performance of electrode material was systematically enhanced by modulating the content of MgO. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparing magnesium oxide/graphitic carbon nitride/polypyrrole composite based on calcination route followed by in-situ polymerization reaction involves (i) dissolving Mg(NO3)2.6H2O and urea in distilled water; (ii) drying the solution in hot air oven, calcinating at 550 ℃ for 3 hours (h), and crushing the resultant sample, obtaining final MgO/g-C3N4(MG) composite; (iii) ultrasonicating the composite with methanol for a duration of 2 hours, adding into a uniform solution of 44 ml methanol and 29 ml distilled water; (iv) mixing 0.5 ml pyrrole in the solution; (v) adding freshly prepared anhydrous 4.4 g iron chloride (FeCl3) in 40 ml distilled water dropwise and keeping the reaction for 5 h within an ice bath, adding refrigerating the solution overnight, filtrating through Whatman filter paper, washing the precipitates with methanol and distilled water and drying in oven at 80 ℃; and (2) a magnesium oxide/graphitic carbon nitride/polypyrrole ternary composite based electrode comprises the composite, acetylene black and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), where the ratio of composite, acetylene black and binder comprises 8: 1: 1.
