成果简介NOVELTY - Permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor has a rotor with fluid-shaped flux barriers designed to follow a natural flux line contour. Rectangular permanent magnets are embedded within the barriers, where a central portion of the barriers retains its intricate shape, while each of the ends are modified to accommodate a single rectangular permanent magnet, or multiple rectangular permanent magnets. Thin ribs connect flux carriers to a shaft. A stator made of electrical grade steel has multiple slots for copper windings, providing necessary excitation for motor operation. The rotor and stator are aligned appropriately with the help of bearings. USE - The reluctance motor is useful in industrial applications e.g. electric motors and hybrid motors. ADVANTAGE - A high saliency ratio in the motor is achieved by utilizing fluid-shaped flux barriers that follow the natural flux line contour, improving power factor, efficiency, and power density. The manufacturing process is simplified and costs are reduced by allowing the use of regular-shaped rectangular magnets within the fluid- shaped flux barriers. The use of ferrite magnets and electrical grade steel reduces reliance on expensive rare-earth materials, enhancing economic viability. The high-performance, cost-effective solution that overcomes the limitations of traditional SynRMs, offering improved efficiency, manufacturability, and adaptability for modern industrial needs.
