成果简介	NOVELTY - Synthesizing 2-methoxy-6-(((2-(phenylselenyl)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol comprises: (a) taking a dry methanol solution of o-vanillin; (b) taking a water solution of phenylselenato(ethyl)amine hydrochloride salt; (c) adding the dry methanol solution of o-vanillin to the water solution of phenylselenato(ethyl)amine hydrochloride salt to obtain a reaction mixture I; (d) mixing the reaction mixture I of step (c) under condition to obtain a reaction mixture II; (e) washing the reaction mixture II with ice-cold aqueous sodium hydroxide solution for adjusting pH to obtain a reaction mixture III; and (f) removing the solvent under pressure to obtain a yellow viscous liquid of 2-methoxy-6-(((2-(phenylselenyl)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol. USE - Synthesizing 2-methoxy-6-(((2-(phenylselenyl)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol for use in pharmaceutical composition for reducing inflammation of a subject (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides 2-methoxy-6-(((2-(phenylselenyl)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol with high non-preferential selectivity, and high binding affinity without using hazardous organic solvent and without the requirement of removing hydrochloric acid salt, in simple and cost-effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a pharmaceutical formulation, which comprises 2-methoxy-6-(((2-(phenylselenyl)ethyl)imino)methyl)phenol, and excipient.
