成果简介	NOVELTY - Preparing a wound dressing comprises: preparing aqueous extract from Acorus calamusroot by simmering Acorus calamusroot powder, filtering, preparing silver nanoparticles capped with the aqueous extract by mixing silver nitrate solution and aqueous extract in 1:1 ratio and incubating at 37 ℃ to form Acorus calamussilver nanoparticles (ANP) and applying 50-1 mg/ml of ANP to a piece of gauze and drying in hot air for four hours at 66 ℃. USE - Method for preparing a wound dressing for wound healing. ADVANTAGE - The wound dressing ensures lessen bacterial infection, can facilitate less frequent replacement of the wound dressing and effective against multidrug-resistant bacteria. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a formulation incorporating in wound dressings for wound healing, where the formulation is characterised in fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) peaks are observed at 3832.83 cm-1, 3667.94 cm-1, 3452.92 cm-1, 3322.75 cm-1, 3172.33 cm-1, 2887.88 cm-1, 2821.35 cm-1, 2356.59 cm-1and 2111.67 cm-1with elemental composition analysis in Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDAX) comprising Tin (Sn), chlorine (Cl), silver, carbon and oxygen, nanoparticles are crystalline at the nano-scale revealing the planes (110), (111), (111), (200), the nanoparticles are non-aggregate spherical with an average size of diameter 223.6 nm and zeta-potential recorded at -12.4 millivolt.
