| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Designing microalgal co-cultivation system comprises co-cultivating two microalgae species in two distinct stages, where combination of 75% raw municipal wastewater and 25% artificial seawater (ASN III) medium are used in the first stage with a co-cultivation ratio of 2:1 Tetraselmis indicato Picochlorum species(2TS:1PC) that demonstrates maximum biomass yield, and 50% effluent from the first stage is mixed with 50% ASN-III medium in the second stage, where effective ratio of Picochlorum speciesand Tetraselmis indica(2PC:1TS) is 2:1. USE - Method for designing microalgal co-cultivation system used for treatment of municipal wastewater, biomass and biomolecules production including lipids, photosynthetic pigments and carotenoids, used for studying the impact of seasonal variations of microalgal co-cultivation before scale-up to mass-scale, for mass-scale treatment of municipal wastewater, and for production of microalgal biomass, microalgal photosynthetic and carotenoid, and microalgal lipids for biodiesel production (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method designs microalgal co-cultivation system, which reduces the requirements of fresh growth medium in each cultivation cycle, promotes biomass production through a co-cultivation mixture, and generates multiple biomolecules which can be used to produce multiple products, reduces the requirements of cost and reuse the treated effluents for the next cultivation cycle, removes more than 90% of nutrient loads from municipal wastewater and make it safe for utilization for agriculture purposes, and repeats the process up to 10 times per year, and has potential to generate a profit of approximately Dollar 600-650 annually, and is developed as two-stage sequential microalgal co-cultivation system in laboratory scale. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: a system for designing sustainable flocculant system for low-cost harvesting of microalgal co-cultivation biomass; a method for constructing sub-pilot scale two-stage sequential low-cost photobioreactors for microalgal co-cultivation cultivation for treatment of municipal wastewater, biomass and biomolecules production; a method for developing mini-pond for mass-scale two-stage sequential microalgal co-cultivation investigations; and a system for integration of cost analysis for mass-scale two-stage sequential microalgal co-cultivation system for biomass and biomolecules production. |
