成果简介NOVELTY - The system has a pair of electromagnets arranged to generate a magnetic field. A rotor or disk is made of conductive material that interacts with magnetic field to induce eddy currents. A control unit selectively activates the electromagnets to generate braking force. A cooling mechanism manages thermal dissipation generated during operation. The cooling mechanism includes a fan positioned adjacent to the electromagnets to enhance heat dissipation. A feedback mechanism monitors rotor speed and adjusts electromagnet activation in real time such that the electromagnets are configured in a hybrid arrangement with permanent magnet. A redundant multi-layer design ensures continued functionality in an event of a component failure. USE - Advanced electromagnetic braking system for a vehicle e.g. heavy- duty vehicle, electric vehicle and railway locomotive. ADVANTAGE - The system can improve braking efficiency and energy conservation. The system offers superior performance and reduced stopping distances and provides redundancy and safety features, thus significantly improving braking reliability, while minimizing maintenance costs of the system. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a block diagram of an advanced electromagnetic braking system.
