| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Biomass conversion process involves reacting the biomass-derived 6-amyl-α-pyrone (6-PP) in the presence of a metal-metal oxide catalyst in a single solvent medium preferably organic solvent at a temperature range of 120-200℃ along with an external hydrogen source to obtain n-decane. USE - Biomass conversion process to produce hydrocarbon product comprises n-decane (claimed) as aliphatic hydrocarbon. ADVANTAGE - The method enable to explore 6-amyl-αpyrone (6-PP) as a platform molecule for n-decane production without losing carbon atoms, preserving the molecular carbon structure, to facilitate the catalytic conversion of 6-amyl-α-pyrone (6-PP) molecules using a bifunctional metal-metal oxide catalyst (Ir-ReOx/SiO2 or Ir-MoOx/SiO2) for higher efficiency and selectivity, to carry out the catalytic conversion under moderate temperature and hydrogen pressure, optimizing for energy efficiency and process effectiveness, to assess the recyclability and stability of the catalyst over multiple cycles of the biomass conversion process, reducing waste and increasing sustainability, to maintain continuous heating and stirring conditions for achieving high conversion rates and process stability, supporting potential industrial-scale applications, promote the use of non-food sources like biomass-derived feedstock, sugarcane bagasse, contributing to a circular economy by utilizing agricultural byproducts, and also produce n-decane that can serve as fuel additives, solvents, or chemical intermediates for producing other high-value products, to expand the application range of the process.
