When measuring the diameter of the tree trunk, the flexible rod is pressed to the tree trunk until it is clamped between the trunk and the fixed leg, as well as the trunk and the ruler, at that, covering a quarter of the tree trunk with a flexible traction, moving the slider relative to the ruler, acting on it with the flexible rod, fixing the position of the slider relative to the ruler with a stopper, removing the device from the tree trunk, measurement readings are taken, the action of the retainer is switched off and simultaneously the slider is returned to its initial position relative to the ruler by acting on it with an elastic element. USE - Forestry. ADVANTAGE - Increased convenience of operation due to provision of possibility to perform measurements with one hand, reduction of number of operator movements during measurements, as well as taking measurements in a position convenient for the operator's sight, due to fixation of measurement readings. 1 cl, 3 dwg
