成果简介	NOVELTY - The device has hand-held, hair straightener-like blades provided with rubber combs. The rubber combs are provided with a handle and a rod. A ball-and-socket joint is located between a handle assembly and a bean picking mechanism. ADVANTAGE - The device ensures easy usage of the unit and enables the operators to harvest effectively, thus saving time and labor intensit. The system is highly-promising in achieving a sustainable and economic solution for coffee bean harvesting. By focusing on low-cost materials and manual assembly, and simplifying the design, this approach stays within the INR 30,000 budget. The focus is that it mimics the comb-like mechanism of a coffee strip harvester without advanced automation or high-end materials.
