A transmitter coil (104) generates an electromagnetic field for wireless energy transfer to the vehicle. A receiver coil (106) captures electromagnetic energy from the road surface for charging the vehicle's battery. An AC power supply (108) provides electrical energy to power the transmitter coil. A battery (118) stores converted electrical energy and powers the vehicle. A motor (120) drives the vehicle by using the stored energy from the battery.
