成果简介NOVELTY - The brake component (100) has a bobbin positioned coaxial with a wheel of a vehicle. The bobbin is positioned in a central portion of a drum in axial direction. A circular ring is attached to a flange portion of the bobbin to define an annular channel for housing an electromagnet winding and generate a magnetic field in radial direction on a channel of electric current. The bobbin is provided with a first pin (3a) and a second pin extending in the axial direction to define a pivot. A web portion of brake shoes is provided with an arcuate profile. The web portion of the brake shoes is formed with slots. The bobbin and a circular ring are formed with a magnetically permeable material such as low carbon steel. USE - Magneto-rheological brake component of a vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The brake component utilizes the permanent magnet to exert pulling force on the iron particles present in the magneto rheological fluid in radial direction away from the drum for reducing resistance offered by the MR fluid during startup of the drum from the state of rest in a non-operational mode of the main body, and de-energizes the electromagnet winding.
