| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Production of acid-resistant geopolymer concrete for sewer pipes comprises: preparing an alkali activator solution by mixing sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide with potable water to achieve a 13 M concentration and allowing the solution to stand for 24 hours before use; mixing coarse and fine aggregates in an inclined mixer for 4-5 minutes; adding class F fly ash and aluminum dross in varying proportions, followed by continued mixing for 3 minutes; and introducing the prepared solution and superplasticizer into the mix and mixing for an additional 5 minutes. USE - The method is useful for producing acid-resistant geopolymer concrete for sewer pipes, which is useful in infrastructure applications, e.g. sewer pipes. ADVANTAGE - The method: provides a durable, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable alternative to traditional cement-based concrete, particularly for use in aggressive chemical environments like those encountered by sewer pipes; provides a geopolymer concrete formulation that is resistant to acid attacks, a critical requirement for sewer pipes exposed to harsh chemical environments; optimizes the mix design by utilizing readily available industrial by-products, including class F fly ash and aluminum dross, while also incorporating effective alkaline activators, including sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate to ensure superior acid resistance and overall durability without compromising the concrete's mechanical properties; and reduces the environmental impact of cement production by eliminating the use of conventional cement in the concrete mix, thus lowering carbon dioxide emissions during manufacturing. |
