A control strategy facilitates rapid energy conversion and short conversion periods. The converter operates in discontinuous conduction mode, boundary conduction mode and continuous conduction mode for seamless power transfer. The converter ensures energy conversion within a single switching cycle, while managing inductor current to prevent high voltage spikes during transitions to continuous conduction mode. USE - Bidirectional direct current-direct current converter for an electric vehicle charging and energy management system. ADVANTAGE - The converter can efficiently interface renewable energy sources with an electric vehicle battery for ensuring high conversion efficiency and rapid energy transfer. The converter ensures fast and stable energy conversion between the renewable energy source and the battery, while reducing energy conversion period to improve system performance so as to prevent high voltage spikes during energy conversion, thus ensuring that components in the converter are protected from damage, and improving overall reliability and longevity of the system. The converter can provide an efficient freewheeling path during continuous conduction mode to minimize spike, thus providing a robust and efficient solution for improving the power management of electric vehicles, and enabling seamless integration of renewable energy sources to enhance the converter's performance in handling charging and discharging operations of the battery.
