成果简介NOVELTY - Composition comprises silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized using Macrotyloma uniflorumseed extracts, where the nanoparticles exhibit an average diameter of 91.8 nm, confirmed by particle size analysis. USE - Composition for exhibiting antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer activities, and inducing apoptosis in PA-1 ovarian cancer cell lines (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition possesses a distinct surface plasmon resonance band at a peak of 436 nm, utilizes nanoparticles that exhibit a negative zeta potential, enhancing their stability and interaction with cellular membranes, inhibits cell proliferation, exhibits deoxyribo nucleic acid (DNA) damage and apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells as evidenced by fluorescence-assisted cell sorting (FACS) and confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) using 5,5,6,6'-tetrachloro-1,1',3,3' tetraethylbenzimi-dazoylcarbocyanine iodide (JC-1) dye. The composition induces mitochondrial membrane potential disruption, and triggers cell cycle arrest in cancer cells. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for synthesizing silver nanoparticles using Macrotyloma uniflorumseed extracts, comprising: (a) extracting bioactive compounds from Macrotyloma uniflorumseeds; (b) mixing the extract with an aqueous solution of silver nitrate (AgNO3); (c) allowing the mixture to react at room temperature until the color changes from transparent to dark brown, indicating the formation of AgNPs; (d) confirming nanoparticle synthesis using UV-Visible spectrophotometry, with a peak at 436 nm.
