成果简介	NOVELTY - Preparing amino-substituted pyridine-containing organodiselenide compound, involves: (a) adding powdered sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and selenium in solvent, followed by adding hydrazine hydrate dropwise for a time period of 20 minutes to form the mixture; (b) stirring the mixture of step (i) under a nitrogen atmosphere for a time period of 3 hours and subsequently adding 2-amino-6-bromopyridine of (i) under the flux of nitrogen; and (c) refluxing the above mixture for 14-20 hours to form 6,6'-diselanediylbis(pyridin-2-amine) compound of (ii). USE - Process for preparing amino-substituted pyridine-containing organodiselenide compound having antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer action (claimed). No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The process is effective, straightforward, cost-effective, takes less time and yields the desired products without the need for additional purification. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing amino-substituted pyridine-containing organodiselenide compound, involves: (a) adding powdered sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and selenium in solvent, followed by adding hydrazine hydrate dropwise for a time period of 20 minutes to form the mixture; (b) stirring the mixture of step (i) under a nitrogen atmosphere for a time period of 3 hours and subsequently adding 2-amino-6-bromopyridine of formula (i) under the flux of nitrogen; and (c) refluxing the above mixture for 14-20 hours to form 6,6'-diselanediylbis(pyridin-2-amine) compound of formula (ii). An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a compound formed from the process, where compound having 6,6'-diselanediylbis(pyridin-2-amine) compound of (ii), and 2,2'-diselanediylbis(pyridin-4-amine) compound of formula (iii).
