| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Converting waste plastic feedstock involves mixing waste plastic feedstock with water in a reactor, pressurizing the reactor with nitrogen gas. The reaction mixture is heated at a temperature of 250-490°C till completion of reaction. The reactor and collecting the gases and kerogen is cooled separately. The reactor walls and the magnetic stirrer is washed with a suitable solvent to extract residual kerogen. The kerogen obtained is filtered to separate hydrochar from liquid phase. The liquid phase is separated into an oil phase and an aqueous phase, the oil phase is separated into crude oil and the solvent. USE - Method for converting waste plastic feedstock into fuels and chemicals. ADVANTAGE - The method addresses critical challenges in waste management and sustainable resource utilization, offers a versatile approach, enabling the conversion of polycarbonate (PC), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastics into a diverse range of high-value products, facilitates the production of renewable fuels, contributing to the transition towards a lowcarbon energy economy, provides environmental benefits but also presents economic opportunities through the production of valuable fuels and chemicals. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. a method for converting waste plastic feedstock into alkyl benzene and styrene, which involves: a. mixing waste plastic feedstock comprising plastic granules of polystyrene with water in the presence of a catalyst in a reactor, b. pressurizing the reactor with nitrogen gas, c. heating the reaction mixture at a temperature of 350-410 °C till completion of reaction, d. cooling the reactor and collecting the gases and kerogen separately, e. washing the reactor walls and the magnetic stirrer with a dichloromethane to extract residual kerogen, f. filtering the kerogen to separate into hydrochar and liquid phase, g. separating the liquid phase into an oil phase and an aqueous phase, h. separating the oil phase into crude oil and dichloromethane, where the crude oil comprises alkyl benzene, styrene, dimers, and other chemicals; 2. a method for converting waste plastic feedstock into aliphatic hydrocarbons, which involves: a. mixing waste plastic feedstock comprising plastic granules of polypropylene with water in a reactor, b. pressurizing the reactor with nitrogen gas, c. heating the reaction mixture at a temperature of 400-450 °C till completion of reaction, d. cooling the reactor and collecting the gases and kerogen separately, e. washing the reactor walls and the magnetic stirrer with a dichloromethane to extract residual kerogen, f. filtering the kerogen to separate into hydrochar and liquid phase, g. separating the liquid phase into an oil phase and an aqueous phase, h. separating the oil phase into crude oil and dichloromethane, where the crude oil comprises aliphatic hydrocarbons which are linear and cyclic, and other chemicals; 3. a method for converting waste plastic feedstock into linear aliphatic hydrocarbons, which involves: a. mixing waste plastic feedstock comprising plastic granules of low density polyethylene with water in a reactor, b. pressurizing the reactor with nitrogen gas, c. heating the reaction mixture at a temperature of 400-450 °C till completion of reaction, d. cooling the reactor and collecting the gases and kerogen separately, e. washing the reactor walls and the magnetic stirrer with a dichloromethane to extract residual kerogen, f. filtering the kerogen obtained to separate into hydrochar and liquid phase, g. separating the liquid phase into an oil phase and an aqueous phase, h. separating the oil phase into crude oil and dichloromethane, where the crude oil comprises linear aliphatic hydrocarbons and other chemicals. |
