成果简介NOVELTY - Microbial strain is selected from Alcanivorax subspecies, Pseudomonas subspecies, and Brevibacillus subspecies. USE - Microbial strain used in composition and spraying techniques, diffusers, or direct injection for bioremediation of oil spills in marine environments, where oil spill is located in a coastal region, offshore area, or deep-sea environment, preferably oil spill is a weathered crude oil spill (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The microbial strain is capable of degrading petroleum hydrocarbons, including alkanes, aromatics, and complex polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), under marine conditions including varying temperature, salinity, and low oxygen availability. The strain is engineered or naturally occurring, and exhibits enhanced tolerance to environmental stresses such as temperature fluctuations (from 5℃ to 40℃), salinity levels (up to 35 ppt), and limited oxygen concentrations. The microbial strain also effectively degrades complex oil compounds, including asphaltenes and resins, within 30 days of application. The microbial strain remains active in the oil-contaminated environment for a period of weeks, which help in biodegradation after the initial treatment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: Composition for bioremediation of oil spills in marine environments, which comprises a microbial strain, suspended in a suitable carrier medium, where the microbial strain is present at a concentration of 10 to 10 colony-forming units (CFU) per milliliter of the composition; and68 Method of bioremediating oil spills in marine environments, which involves: (1) isolating a microbial strain; (2) culturing the strain in a controlled laboratory environment to achieve a sufficient biomass; (3) suspending the strain in a carrier medium at a concentration of 10 to 10 CFU per milliliter; and (4) applying the suspension to the oil-contaminated marine environment at a rate sufficient to allow the microorganisms to contact and degrade the petroleum hydrocarbons.68
