成果简介NOVELTY - The system has an electron beam source for producing tunable electron beam, where air-gap is formed between a parallel metal plate, where an electron beam propagates without any diverging into the gap between the parallel metal plate. A system is used for generation of coherent, tunable and broadband THz radiation, where the electron beam comprises a relativistic electron beam passes through the gap between the plates, resonantly excites the surface plasmons by a Cherenkov interaction between the electron beam and surface plasmons at metal-air interfaces. The parallel metal plate is made of gold. USE - System for generating coherent, tunable and broadband terahertz (THz) radiation used in biomedical applications, nondestructive detection, THz wireless communication, security inspection, biomedicine, chemical/biological sensors. ADVANTAGE - The system generates coherent, tunable and broadband THz radiation in a parallel metal plate structure.
