| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Nanofibrous film containing polyphenols from Asplenium falcatumfor packaging of protein rich food, comprises chitosan nanofibrous films, loaded with polyphenols from Asplenium falcatum, where chitosan is present in a concentration of 1.5 wt.%. USE - Nanofibrous film containing polyphenols from Asplenium falcatumfor packaging of protein rich food. ADVANTAGE - The formulated nanofibers shows extremely responsiveness to ammonia (within 4 minutes). As a result, Asp/CH nanofibers have the potential to be employed as smart packaging materials to safeguard and check the shelf-life of protein-rich foods like meat and seafood. The prepared nanofibers have a great potential as a multifunctional packaging due to its sustained control release properties for loaded antioxidant and antimicrobial active agent. Besides, it can be used to protect and monitor the freshness of protein-rich animal foods, such as meat and seafood. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing nanofibrous film containing polyphenols from Asplenium falcatum, which involves: obtaining methanolic extract of polyphenols of Asplenium falcatumby Macerating the pulverized A.falcatumwith methanol for 48 hours to obtain macerated sample, Sonicating the macerated sample for 20 min and centrifuging at 6240×g for 15 min at 5℃, Collecting supernatant followed by concentrating through a rotary evaporator to obtain concentrated sample, Lyophilizing the concentrated sample to obtain methanolic extract of the A.falcatum, preparing polymer feed solution comprising chitosan and Polyvinyl alcohol, by Preparing chitosan solution (CH) of 1.5 wt.%, by dissolving chitosan powder in glacial acetic acid (1%), with continuous stirring at room temperature (24 h), Preparing polyvinyl alcohol solution, by dissolving 0.6 g polyvinyl alcohol in 10 ml distilled water and stirring overnight to obtain homogeneous solution, preparing polymer feed solution, by mixing chitosan solution and polyvinyl alcohol solution at the ratio of 80:20 to obtain polymer feed solution, Fabrication of chitosan-based nanofibers with A.falcatumextract, by Preparing electrospinning solution by adding lyophilized methanolic extract of the A. falcatum to the polymer feed solution in the concentration of 6, 8 and 10 mg extract /g of polymer solution, filling electrospinning solutions in a 5 mL plastic syringe, equipped with 23-gauge stainless-steel needle with 0.34 mm internal diameter, inserted into a syringe pump followed by performing electrospinning under optimized technological parameters to obtain nanofibrous film containing polyphenols from Asplenium falcatum, and storing the chitosan-based nanofibers with A.falcatumat 4℃ in desiccators to prevent moisture absorption. |
