| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The system has a transparent liquid media container (A) including predefined dimensions of 15 cm length, 1.4 cm width, and 21 cm height, with walls of 2 mm thickness. A pluggable mesh holding cap (B) with dimensions 15.8 cm x 1 cm x 2 cm, is configured to fit within the liquid media container. A media supply pipe (C) with 3 cm height and 1 cm diameter, is integrated with a mesh. A seed-holding mesh (D) is disposed within the mesh with a 1 mm circumferential gap. A non-transparent blackout cassette is dimensioned to encase the liquid media container while permitting aerial plant growth, where an apparatus main body enables controlled root zone darkness and visualization capabilities. USE - Hydroponic system for plant root phenotyping used in research and educational applications in plant science. Can also be used in academic research applications and educational demonstrations in plant biology and agricultural sciences. ADVANTAGE - The system is user-friendly, significantly reduces labor and expertise required for studying root architecture in plants, minimizes volume of growth medium needed while maximizing visibility and accessibility of root structures for research purposes, accommodates small and large plants, provides flexibility in research applications while maintaining optimal growing conditions through an opaque outer housing that prevents algal growth and prevents light interference with root development, facilitates accurate root collection for metabolite and gene expression studies, ensures minimal disturbance to a root system during sampling.
