| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The system has a solar air collector integrated with fins to enhance heat transfer efficiency. A thermal energy storage unit is positioned below the collector for storing and releasing thermal energy. An insulated drying chamber is provided for uniform drying of materials. An air circulation mechanism transfers heated air from the collector and the storage unit to the drying chamber. A control system monitors and regulates temperature, airflow, and humidity. The fins are made of thermally conductive materials selected from aluminum, copper, or alloys of the aluminum, and copper, and the fins are covered with a transparent material. USE - Indirect solar drying system for reducing moisture content in agricultural produce, industrial byproducts, and organic waste. Uses include but are not limited to agriculture, food processing, and waste management. ADVANTAGE - The system maximizes the use of solar energy for drying processes while minimizing energy losses through advanced heat transfer mechanisms such as fin-assisted collectors. The system ensures uninterrupted drying during periods of low solar radiation or nighttime by integrating a thermal energy storage (TES) unit capable of storing and releasing excess heat as required. The fins increase the surface area for heat absorption and enhance the rate of heat transfer to the air. Transparent glass or polycarbonate covers are used to reduce heat losses, creating a greenhouse effect within the collector. The TES unit is positioned below the solar air collector and contains phase change materials (PCMs) such as paraffin wax or salts. Insulated Drying Chamber houses the material to be dried and ensures uniform air distribution for consistent drying. |
