成果简介	NOVELTY - The jelly roll has a separator (400) disposed between an anode (200) and a cathode (300). A reinforcement assembly (100) is provided with a first flexible reinforcement piece and a second flexible reinforcement piece. The second flexible reinforcement piece is adapted to be co-axially positioned inside the first reinforcement piece. The first flexible reinforcement piece and the second flexible reinforcement piece are adapted to be disposed inside a core (10C) of a jelly roll main bodt. The first flexible reinforcement piece and the second flexible reinforcement piece are adapted to reinforce the jelly roll main body. USE - Jelly roll with flexible reinforcement assembly for a cylindrical secondary battery cell of a battery management system of an electric vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The reinforcing protrusion of the second flexible reinforcement element is moved away from the slit defined on corresponding side of the first flexible reinforcement elements, so that the outer diameter of the flexible reinforcement portion can be reduced, reinforcement portion can be made flexible, and high stiffness can be provided for reinforcing the core, thus reducing the stress applied to the innermost layers of the battery cell jelly roll during charging and discharging cycles of the cylindrical battery cell respectively, and enhancing the performance and lifetime of the jelly roll as well as increases the safety of jelly roll, and hence easily manufacturing and inserting inside the core of a jelly roll without causing any damage to separator. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for inserting a reinforcement assembly into a core of a jelly roll of a cylindrical battery cell.
