成果简介NOVELTY - Preparing synthetic microbial consortium to produce biohythane through single-stage anaerobic digestion involves (a) mixing aged sludge (AS) and Paper mill sludge (PM) to obtain a mixed sludge A and mixing cow dung (CD), aged sludge (AS) and Paper mill sludge (PM) to obtain a mixed sludge B; (b) first phase: heating mixed sludge A to obtain sludge (AP)Tx and acclimatizing the sludge with electro-flocculated wastewater (EF) to obtain acclimatized sludge; (c) second phase: heating mixed sludge B to obtain sludge (CAP)Tx and mixing the sludge with the acclimatized sludge to obtain E(AP)Tx+(CPA)Tx i.e., E(C2)Tx consortium, where the first phase promotes the adaptability of the microbes via anaerobic digestion, the second phase enhances the hydrogen-producing community in the obtained consortium, and the anaerobic digestion of complex organic substrates using synthetic microbial consortium E(C2)Tx achieves increased biohythane yield and a reduced biogas production cycle length. USE - Method for preparing synthetic microbial consortium to produce biohythane through single-stage anaerobic digestion. ADVANTAGE - The method is non-sterile anaerobic digestion process that avoids bulk substrate pretreatment, by reducing costs and increasing energy recovery while promoting sustainable waste management.
