| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Solar desalination system (1) comprises a double-slope U-shaped basin with Zea Mays-activated carbon and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (4) to enhance freshwater production. The galvanized steel basin (2) has a stepped design (5) that maximizes solar absorption and heat retention. The Zea Mays-activated carbon absorbs and retains solar energy, while ZnO nanoparticles (4) improve thermal conductivity and degrade organic contaminants through photocatalysis, purifying water. An inclined condensation cover (3), optimized for solar capture, allows condensed vapor to flow into an adjacent collection trough, providing purified freshwater. The basin (2) is surrounded by an insulating layer (8) to minimize heat loss, ensuring efficient water evaporation and condensation. USE - Solar desalination system. ADVANTAGE - The system is optimized for efficient freshwater production in water-scarce and remote locations. The system is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The system employs a cost-effective desalination method by combining renewable materials with advanced nanotechnology, ultimately reducing the operational costs associated with freshwater production. The system improves the heat transfer within the system and accelerating the evaporation process.
