成果简介NOVELTY - The method (100) involves processing a set of raw coir husks to obtain dried coir fibers (102). The coir fibers are separated from a coir pith. The separated coir fibers are cut (104) to a specific length range. The cut coir fibers are mixed (106) with a resin i.e. house developed glue, to form a fiber-resin mixture. The fiber-resin mixture is spreaded (108) to form a mat. The mat is hot-pressed (110) to form a consolidated Board. A consolidated Board is trimmed and finished (112). The board is cooled after hot pressing to stabilize dimensions and properties, USE - Method for manufacturing a medium-density fiberboard and a high-density fiberboard from coconut coir fibers i.e. natural coconut coir fibers. Uses include but are not limited to interior panel products, furniture, wall panels, ceiling panels, modular installations, partition panels and decorative laminated boards. ADVANTAGE - The method enables developing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional wood-based boards by utilizing renewable, natural coir fibers derived from agricultural waste, thus reducing reliance on timber, and contributing to forest conservation. The method enables establishing natural coir fiber boards as a viable for competing with traditional wood-based products in terms of price, quality, and application versatility. The method enables supporting rural economies by creating value from agricultural byproducts, and adding economic value to underutilized resources. The method enables reducing carbon footprint associated with board production by using 100 percent natural fibers, and offering a sustainable solution that offsets wood usage. The method enables ensuring compliance with industry standards and certifications for environmental sustainability, safety, and performance to raise awareness and acceptance of coir fiber boards as a sustainable choice among consumers, builders, and manufacturers, thsu promoting the benefits of using natural, eco-friendly materials in everyday products.
