成果简介NOVELTY - The dual-stage thermoelectric thermal management system (100) for electric vehicle (EV) battery pack, includes(i) battery pack (10);(ii) liquid cooling circuit including coolant reservoir (34) for storing coolant and a coolant pump (32); (iii) primary cooling channel blocks (30) positioned on either side of battery pack (10) where primary cooling block comprise cooling channels with extended surface fins, where first set of thermoelectric Peltier cooler system comprising multiples of thermoelectric cooling modules (40) is retrofitted over battery pack (10) and positioned over liquid cooling circuit; second set of thermoelectric cooling modules (40) is positioned between primary cooling channel blocks (30) and extended surface fins (20); and Battery Management System (BMS) configured with temperature sensor to monitor and provide real-time temperature of battery packs and selectively activate thermoelectric cooling modules (40) based on battery pack temperature. USE - Dual-stage thermoelectric thermal management system for electric vehicle (EV) battery pack. ADVANTAGE - These include multi-stage liquid cooling systems, phase-change cooling, and thermoelectric cooling modules, each offering more precise temperature control, reduced energy consumption, and better scalability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for dual-stage thermoelectric thermal management for an electric vehicle battery pack, involves a) monitoring a battery pack temperature utilizing a temperature sensor in a Battery Management system (BMS); b) initiating a first-stage cooling process utilizing a first set thermoelectric modules retrofitted over a liquid cooling circuit when the battery pack temperature exceeds a predefined threshold of 32 °C and deactivated when the temperature drops below 30 °C; c) activating a second set of thermoelectric Peltier cooling modules positioned between primary cooling blocks (30) and extended fin surfaces (20) when battery pack temperature continues to rise above 35 °C; and d) alternatively activating first set and second set of thermoelectric modules with liquid cooling circuit to optimize battery temperature.
