成果简介NOVELTY - The device has a body (101) with proximal and distal ends, where the proximal end is attached with a handle (102) that is gripped by a user to position the distal end in proximity to an eyelet. An artificial intelligence-based imaging unit (103) is integrated in the body, and is paired with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images to determine dimensions of the eyelet, where a pair of extendable rods (104) is actuated by an inbuilt microcontroller to extend/retract for positioning a U-shaped member (105) attached on an end of the rod. A suction cup (108) is integrated on ends for adhering to surface in the view of the securing frame on the surface. USE - Hand-held button fastening assistive device for fastening buttons into eyelets in various contexts ranging from formal business attire to casual wear for individuals with limited dexterity or mobility challenges such as arthritis or motor impairments. ADVANTAGE - The button fastening helps promote inclusivity and accessibility, making everyday tasks more manageable and less cumbersome for a diverse range of users. The personal independence is enhanced and daily living experiences are improved. The time and effort required to get dressed is reduced. The user is facilitated in fastening the button in the eyelet by the motorized sliding unit to provide inward translation to the rod for passing the gripped through eyelet. The laser sensor accurately determines the dimension do the button and the microcontroller triggers the drawer arrangement to increase/decrease the dimension of the unit for allowing the user to enclose the button.
