成果简介NOVELTY - Formation of calcite polymorph involves preparing bactospores from a nutrient medium comprising 1-1.5 g/L yeast extract, 3-5g/L sodium chloride and 3-5 g/L peptone; and integrating the bactospores, along with 0.5 Molar calcium chloride and 0.25 Molar urea to form an integrated composition, where precipitation of calcite polymorphs is triggered when moisture infiltrates into the integrated composition. USE - Method for formation of calcite polymorph that used in self-crack healing of concrete. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizing bacterial spores to repair the cracks autonomously; is sustainable, cost-effective and practical.
