| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Stacked continuous flow photocatalytic reactor for the removal of recalcitrant organic compounds and microbial disinfection of water and wastewater treatment plants, and industrial effluents comprises multiple of photocatalyst coated bed units, each unit having an inlet and an outlet, multiple of visible light LED sources, a pump, where reactor bed is made of a photocatalyst immobilized onto a substrate, each of the photocatalyst coated bed units being placed one upon another vertically in series, and each of visible light LED sources is positioned at the top of each said photocatalyst coated bed unit. USE - Stacked continuous flow photocatalytic reactor for the removal of recalcitrant organic compounds and microbial disinfection of water and wastewater treatment plants, and industrial effluents. ADVANTAGE - The stacked reactor provides lower footprint, flexibility for modular operation with different catalysts, and feasibility of their offline regeneration thus minimizing the reactor downtime, and increased overall performance with decreased toxicity of final effluent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a process of purification of wastewater which involves introducing wastewater into the stacked continuous flow photocatalytic reactor having multiple of photocatalyst coated bed units placed one upon another, passing wastewater to a first photocatalyst coated bed unit from the inlet at the top of one side of the reactor and flowing on the first photocatalyst coated bed unit, removal and/or degradation of pollutants present in the wastewater by the action of reactive species generated by the catalyst particles in the first photocatalyst coated bed unit under the activation of light from a light source provided at the top of the reactor, passing the treated wastewater from the outlet of the first photocatalyst coated bed unit to following downstream photocatalyst coated bed units placed vertically in series via gravity to obtain desired purification. |
