成果简介NOVELTY - Set of dysprosium(III) ion doped mixed alkali fluoro tungstenate tellurite glasses with various compositions, comprises tellurium-tungsten-lithium:dysprosium, tellurium-tungsten-sodium:dysprosium, tellurium-tungsten-potassium:dysprosium, tellurium-tungsten-lithium-sodium:dysprosium, tellurium-tungsten-sodium-potassium:dysprosium, and tellurium-tungsten-lithium-potassium:dysprosium. The glasses are prepared using a conventional melt-quenching technique with specific proportions of tellurium dioxide, tungsten(VI) oxide, lithium fluoride, sodium fluoride, potassium fluoride and dysprosium(III) oxide. USE - The glasses are useful for optoelectronic devices i.e. lasers and white LEDs. ADVANTAGE - The glasses: exhibit an amorphous nature, confirmed through X-ray diffraction analysis showing a broad hump characteristic of non-crystalline material; and exhibit physical properties i.e. refractive index and density to calculate key parameters i.e. average molecular weight, dielectric constant and polarizability.
