成果简介NOVELTY - A vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) comprises a rotor with Savonius blades arranged vertically to capture wind energy from any direction. A direct current (DC)-stepper motor is coupled to the rotor to convert rotational kinetic energy into electrical energy. A rectifier circuit convert the generated alternating current (AC) voltage into DC voltage. A battery is connected to the rectifier for storing the converted electrical energy, and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composition blade design to minimize weight and manufacturing cost. The blades are reinforced with composition materials to improve durability and resistance to environmental conditions. USE - Vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) for decentralized off-grid power generation. ADVANTAGE - The wind turbine comprises a base that acts as a main support, where arm pole is welded to the base along with two rims that are attached to one rod in collinear position, and thus enables to improve the energy efficiency of the wind turbine. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: A Savonius wind turbine system for decentralized off-grid power generation; and A vertical axis wind turbine assembly.
