成果简介	NOVELTY - Performing a cotton thread chromatography comprises: (a) taking a cotton thread, preferably made up of surgical cotton of size of length from 5-10 cm and width from 2-5 mm diameter; (b) spotting the sample/analyte on cotton thread at a distance of 2 cm from one of the end, completely drying the sample/ analyte on thread; (c) tying other end of cotton thread to a holding means preferably of a clamp, fixing the clamp at upper side of chromatographic chamber or flask using clay or any like sticking material; (d) dipping the sampling end of cotton thread into the solvent/ mobile phase 1 cm above from the bottom of chamber/flask and putting a lid on the chamber/flask; (e) running the solvent/ mobile phase at predetermine time to separate the sample; (f) analyzing the sample run on cotton thread through visual inspection, terminating the mobile phase run time, solvent front; removing the holding means of cotton thread from chromatography chamber/flask. USE - Method for performing a cotton thread chromatography. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes less time and provides accurate & efficient results without employing any manual human efforts in setting up the arrangement of equipment required for performing chromatography, efficient and time effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Performing a cotton thread chromatography comprises: (a) taking a cotton thread, preferably made up of surgical cotton of size of length from 5-10 cm and width from 2-5 mm diameter; (b) spotting the sample/analyte on cotton thread at a distance of 2 cm from one of the end, completely drying the sample/ analyte on thread; (c) tying other end of cotton thread to a holding means preferably of a clamp, fixing the clamp at upper side of chromatographic chamber or flask using clay or any like sticking material; (d) dipping the sampling end of cotton thread into the solvent/ mobile phase 1 cm above from the bottom of chamber/flask and putting a lid on the chamber/flask; (e) running the solvent/ mobile phase at predetermine time to separate the sample; (f) analyzing the sample run on cotton thread through visual inspection, terminating the mobile phase run time, solvent front; removing the holding means of cotton thread from chromatography chamber/flask; and removing the cotton thread from holding means and evaluating the retention spots of analytes for further analysis and evaluation to confirm the separated compounds.
