成果简介	NOVELTY - Topical composition for treating skin disorders comprises 70-80% biomaterial-based gel of Ingudi (Balanitis aegyptiaca Linn. Delile) oil and Extrapharmacopoeal herb Decalepis hamiltonii Wight and arn, and three or more biomarkers responsible for wound healing are present in the biomaterial i.e., diosgenin, stearic acid, and oleic acid in the Ingudi oil. The amount of medicated oil, Sepineo p 600 (a concentrated dispersion of acrylamide/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer), and beewax are present in the composition in the ratio having a range of 2.5 ml: 0.5 ml: 200 mg (0.2ml) (78.125%: 15.625%: 6.25%). USE - Topical composition for treating skin disorders such as chronic wounds/ulcers. ADVANTAGE - The composition is provided in a gel form. The composition is naturally derived, safe, and biodegradable, and it provides treatment of the skin due to its ease of use, simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendliness with lower risk of side-effects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing a topical composition, which involves mixing 1 pt. wt. Kalka (paste of Decalepis hemiltonii root), 4 pts. wt. oil Balanitis aegyptiaca, 16 pts. wt. Drava dravya (Kwatha/Decoction of Decalepis hemiltonii root) to get a whole mixture, followed by intermittent heating for 6-8 hours to obtain medicated oil, and then converting the medicated oil into the topical composition to obtain biomaterial gel.
