成果简介NOVELTY - Green synthesis of magnesium oxide nanoparticles comprises: (a) cleaning, drying and grinding of Boerhavia diffusaleaves into fine powder; (b) adding 1 g of fine powder into 20 ml of distilled water in a beaker and covering the same with aluminum foil; (c) sonicating the covered beaker for 45 minutes at 29?? C followed by filtration using filter paper and repeating the same for three times to enhance the extraction efficiency; (d) filtering the resulting solution from step (c); (e) transforming the filtered solution into a fine powder by evaporating it using a vacuum evaporator at 100℃ and a speed of 10 rpm; (f) dissolving a filtered fine powder in 20 ml distilled water; (g) adding 30 ml aqueous leaf extract to precursor solution containing 0.2 g magnesium sulfate and 1 g magnesium chloride; and (h) incubating the resultant mixture in a dark covered with aluminium foil and filtering the same USE - The method is useful for green synthesis of magnesium oxide nanoparticles, which is used in medical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural applications e.g. food security, promoting nutrition, sustaining livelihoods, and soil health. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to treat sorghum plant with magnesium oxide nanoparticles, which has high productivity and purity, and reduces the extent of leaf damage inflicted by pest, and increases biomass accumulation, better resistance to diseases and ultimately higher yields, and has environmental friendly nature, cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, simplicity, and ability to achieve high productivity, and promotes rapid growth and development in the Sorghum (RTM: Millet)plant.
