| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Coiled flow inverter (CFI) photoreactor comprises four units arranged in series present in a single photoreactor assembly, where a chamber 1 for preparing the aqueous slurry of the photocatalyst and pharmaceutical effluent with continuous air bubbling using air bubbler and comprising a magnetic stirrer to stir the mixture in dark to equilibrate the solid-liquid mixture by adsorption, a chamber 2 which is a photoreactor chamber, equipped with four visible LED light panels comprising wavelength of 400-700 nanometer, each with a power output of 200 Watt to illuminate the photoreactor during the reaction. USE - Coiled flow inverter (CFI) photoreactor used for enhanced photodegradation of pharmaceutical effluents. ADVANTAGE - The coiled flow inverter (CFI) photoreactor achieves eco-friendly and cost-effective degradation of harmful pollutants to harmless products, allows adjustments to the number of CFIs in series to optimize residence time, while ensuring uniform irradiation from visible LED (light emitting diode) lights on all sides. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of photodegradation of pharmaceutical effluents by CFI photoreactor, which involves: a. preparing an aqueous slurry of the photocatalyst and the pharmaceutical Effluents (PM) by dispersing the prepared photocatalyst in the PM solution under stirring for 30 minutes in dark to equilibrate the solid-liquid mixture by adsorption along with air bubbling followed by delivering the solution to the photoreactor chamber at a constant flow rate of 45 milliLiter/minutes using pump 1; and b. collecting the photoreactor's product stream by a buffer vessel, from which a fraction of the product stream was recycled back using pump 2 to the CFI photoreactor, along with the fresh feed, at different recycle ratios, where the photocatalytic reaction begin at t is 0, when the LED lights are turned on, uniformly irradiating the photoreactor, the photodegradation is carried out at 10 ppm (parts per million) PM concentration in a 4 x 4 CFI photoreactor configuration with the recycle ratio of 2, and the catalyst dose of 1 gram/Liter of 7.5% (w/w) CNW-CN present in the same photoreactor chamber as that used for CFI. |
