ADVANTAGE - The herbal topical antifungal formulation exhibits better stability even at accelerated conditions up to 6 months, enables localized, sustained release of herbal ingredients directly to affected areas, ensures consistent dosage, quality, and efficacy, causes no skin irritation and allows for easy application without the mess associated with traditional methods, and is also devoid of strong odors, thus improving patient compliance and acceptance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the herbal topical antifungal formulation, comprising: (a) preparing hydroalcoholic extracts of vidang, chakramard, kustha, sarshapa, and haridra using water and alcohol; (b) adding sequentially the resultant equal amount of all the hydroalcoholic extract into a pot having equal quantity of kanji and stirring the same at 2000 rpm at 25℃; (c) homologizing the resultant for 30 minutes to ensure complete dissolution of extracts; (d) filtering the resultant and transferring the clarified solution to sterile spray bottles and storing the prepared formulation in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
