An adaptive optical element for modulating energy beam to maintain focus and alignment with a target unit, where the adaptive optical element is selected from deformable mirrors and liquid crystal lenses. A deformable mirror adjusts a surface shape in real-time based on environmental conditions and target movement and performs dynamic correction of a beam path. An Al-based tracking unit performs real-time target identification and predictive alignment of the energy beam.
