成果简介	NOVELTY - Biologically active substituted chalcone chemical compound (I) or its derivative or salt, is new. USE - Biologically active substituted chalcone chemical compound (I) used in pharmaceutical composition, where the compound is an anti-cancer agent to inhibit breast cancer cells proliferation; the breast cancer cells are selected from one or more of MCF-7, HEK-293, and MDA-MB-231, preferably MDA-MB 231 (all claimed). The biologically active substituted chalcone chemical compound (I) was evaluated for in vitro anticancer activity against human breast cancer cell line MDA-MB 231 cell line using Sulforhodamine B (SRB) assay. The result showed that the (2E)- 3-(6-chloropyridin-3-yl)-1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) prop-2-en-1-one exhibited a Growth inhibition (GI)50 of < 10 µg/mL. ADVANTAGE - The compound (I) demonstrated that they are very good oral bioavailability medications; has less expensive, more effective, and less toxic than the current medications and having less adverse effects. The compounds 3a and 3j have showed excellent antioxidant activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Biologically active substituted chalcone chemical compound of formula (I) or its derivative or salt, is new. R1, R2=1-3C alkoxy, halogen, or H; and X=halogen.
