USE - Concrete composition. ADVANTAGE - The incorporation of expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads provides improved thermal insulation properties for energy-efficient buildings. The concrete has improved workability, lightweight, ease of handling during mixing, pouring, placement in construction projects, exhibits increased resistance to thermal cracking and long-term durability under fluctuating temperature conditions, enhances the thermal efficiency of buildings by reducing heat transfer through walls and structures, reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling. The cost-effective lightweight concrete material leverages EPS beads, reducing the use of natural aggregates, transportation costs, and energy expenditure during construction. The concrete composition improves fire resistance while retaining lightweight and thermal insulation properties.
