| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Wheat straw composition for manufacturing biodegradable toy comprises multiple of interlocking building components made from a composite material comprising 70-80 wt.% polylactic acid (PLA) and 20-30 wt.% wheat straw fibers. The wheat straw fibers have an average length of 0.5-2 mm and are treated with a silane coupling agent. The composite material includes 2-5 % natural plasticizers derived from citrus peels and vegetable oils. The building components feature a surface texture mimicking natural wheat straw achieved through micro-etching of mold surfaces. The building components are colored using natural, food-grade pigments, where building components include embossed or debossed educational facts related to sustainability and biodegradability. USE - Wheat straw composition for manufacturing biodegradable toy (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The wheat straw composition promotes a sustainable environment, the manufacturing process of a toy maximizes the strength, durability, and design flexibility of wheat straw PLA plastic, toys and packaging are compostable and made with recycled materials, which ensures a low environmental footprint and aligns with circular economy principles. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for manufacturing biodegradable toys which involves compounding a mixture of 70-80 wt.% PLA and 20-30 wt.% wheat straw fibers using a twin-screw extruder at temperatures between 160-190℃, pelletizing and drying the compounded material to a moisture content below 0.1 wt.%, injection molding the dried pellets using a modified screw design to minimize fiber breakage, cooling the molded parts using a proprietary system combining water cooling and timed air blasts, and conditioning the molded parts at 23℃and 50 % relative humidity for 48 hours (h). |
