| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - Developed alkali activated acoustic board comprises a binder system including 55% granulated blast furnace slag and 5-25% foundry sand, 20-40% vermiculite, and a natural additive of 5% coir fiber, along with a liquid-to-binder ratio of 0.4, and activated by an alkali activator solution comprising sodium silicate and 10 M sodium hydroxide in a ratio of 2.5:1. USE - The board is useful as geopolymer acoustic panel for soundproofing applications in residential, commercial, and public spaces i.e. auditoriums, recording studios, hospitals and schools. ADVANTAGE - The board: provides panel that has (i) densities of 1364-2132 kg/m3for mixture designs M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5 to offer superior mechanical and acoustic performance for various construction applications, where the mixture (M5) attained low water absorption rate of 12%, (ii) improved acoustic absorption property in a frequency of 125-6300 Hz, with increase in sound absorption coefficients of 0-0.18, while preserving sustainability and cost-effectiveness, and (iii) excellent sound absorption, lightweight, and lowered water absorption, while preserving structural integrity; utilizes low-density materials that improve sound absorption and durability, thus offering a promising solution for noise control and sustainable infrastructure development; is environmentally friendly; and explores environmental concerns by lowering waste and integrating sustainable materials, thus leading to the modern green building technologies. |
