成果简介	NOVELTY - Herbal ointment composition comprises: (a) a methanol extract of Jasminum humileobtained by extracting dried leaf powder of Jasminum humilewith methanol using a soxhlet extractor at an extraction temperature of 60℃ for an extraction duration of 7 hours; and (b) an ointment base prepared by combining and heating ointment base components at a melting temperature of 70℃, mixing the melted components at a mixing temperature of 70℃ for a mixing duration, and cooling the mixture using continuous stirring, where the methanol extract of Jasminum humileis blended into the ointment base through trituration using a mortar and pestle. USE - Herbal ointment composition with antimicrobial potential. ADVANTAGE - The herbal ointment composition exhibitss desirable physicochemical properties and antimicrobial efficacy, and provides a natural, effective alternative to synthetic topical antimicrobial agents. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing herbal ointment composition, comprising: (a1) extracting dried leaf powder of Jasminum humilewith methanol using a soxhlet extractor at an extraction temperature of 60℃ for an extraction duration of 7 hours to obtain a methanol extract; (b1) filtering the methanol extract using Whatman(RTM: Cellulose filter papers) filter paper No. 1; (c1) concentrating the filtered methanol extract using a rotary evaporator at a concentration temperature of 40℃ under vacuum conditions; (d1) storing the concentrated methanol extract at a storage temperature of -80℃; (e1) combining and heating ointment base components at a melting temperature of 70℃; (f1) mixing the melted components at a mixing temperature of 70℃ for a mixing duration; (g1) cooling the mixture using continuous stirring to create an ointment base; and (h1) blending the methanol extract of Jasminum humileinto the ointment base through trituration using a mortar and pestle to formulate the herbal ointment composition.
