成果简介NOVELTY - The dynamic pedicle screw estimation system (100) has a computed tomography (CT) scan processing module (301) configured to acquire and process CT scan images of a patient spine, perform vertebral segmentation, and extract key anatomical parameters of a vertebra. A bone quality assessment module (303) analyzes bone quality data, such as bone mineral density (BMD), cortical thickness, and bone texture based on the extracted anatomical parameters to evaluate bone strength and ensure stable screw fixation. A pedicle screw estimation module (305) determines optimal screw dimensions such as length and diameter, and insertion angles based on a CT scan data and the bone data. USE - Dynamic pedicle screw estimation system for predicting optimal pedicle screw dimensions and insertion angles using medical image processing and computational analysis to enhance spine surgery precision and patient safety in medical technology and surgical planning. ADVANTAGE - The system integrates medical image processing and computational analysis to predict optimal pedicle screw dimensions and insertion angles to enhance surgical precision, reduce complications, and improve patient outcomes while minimizing reliance on subjective estimation. The system compares computational predictions with traditional manual estimation methods to validate accuracy, improve surgical outcomes, and minimize complications such as nerve damage and screw loosening. The method enhances surgical results while reducing the necessity for revision surgeries, resulting in more effective and dependable spinal procedures.
