| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The method involves delivering theoretical instruction through conventional and audiovisual units. Assessment strategies comprising case-based, competency-based and assertion-reasoning and value-based questions are implemented after each unit. Project-based learning (PBL) is incorporated to engage students in hands-on activities comprising scientific inquiry, data analysis, and bioinformatics tools. Effectiveness of approach is evaluated through student engagement, learning outcomes and problem-solving abilities. A virtual reality (VR) tool and an augmented reality (AR) tool are incorporated to simulate laboratory experiments and enhance student engagement and hands-on learning experiences in biotechnology. USE - Biotechnology education method for integrating theoretical instruction with audiovisual aids, project based learning (PBL), and competency-based assessments aligned with the national education policy (NEP) 2020. ADVANTAGE - The method enhances student understanding beyond rote memorization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning by incorporating real-world applications, provides mini-projects on sequence similarity search and homology modeling using computational tools e.g. protein blast (BLAST-P) and swiss-model, real-world applications of theoretical concepts and various question formats e.g. case based, competency-driven, and assertion-reasoning evaluations, ensures that the results demonstrated improved student engagement, conceptual understanding, and motivation through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, employs adaptive assessment formats e.g. case-based and assertion reasoning questions to evaluate student competency beyond rote memorization, modernizes biotechnology education using scalable model by integrating technology, fostering research-oriented learning, and preparing students for industrial and academic challenges, promotes competency-based assessments, interdisciplinary learning and research-driven education, allows students to engage in hands-on projects comprising bioinformatics-based computational studies, fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skill, integrates computational tools e.g. BLAST-P, swiss-model, and ProCheck into coursework to enhance data analysis and molecular modeling skills, increases enthusiasm, motivation and deeper conceptual understanding through hands-on and inquiry-based learning, adapts teaching model to various biotechnology courses and ensures an effective and modernized education system. |
