| 成果简介 | NOVELTY - The system has an infrared (IR) sensor (101) comprising an IR LED emitter and an IR photodiode receiver, where the system detects eye closure duration beyond a predefined threshold and triggers an audible alarm to alert a driver. The IR sensor continuously monitors the driver's eye movements in real-time, and provides accurate detection of prolonged eye closures indicative of drowsiness, with sensitivity adjustable through a potentiometer to accommodate varying lighting conditions and driver preferences. The audible alarm continues sounding until the drivers eyes are detected to be open, and prompts immediate attention. An user interface allows the drivers to adjust sensitivity settings and alarm volume. USE - Advanced anti-sleeping alarm system for detecting drowsiness of a driver e.g. long-haul lorry drivers and bus operators, of a vehicle e.g. personal vehicles and commercial fleets, during long journeys and late-night drives. Can also be used for industries requiring continuous attention e.g. academic environments or for security personnel tasked with maintaining alertness during long shifts. ADVANTAGE - The system is designed to be compact, lightweight, and user-friendly, and offers a practical and cost-effective solution for preventing accidents caused by drowsy driving, thus making the system highly suitable for integration into a wide range of vehicles within the automotive industry. The system automatically reduces the vehicle's speed and activates the parking lights, thus contributing to a safer driving experience. The driver safety during long journeys and late-night drives is enhanced.
