成果简介NOVELTY - The method involves allocating classified waste material to the appropriate disposal or recycling stream according to a designated category. Internet of Things (loT) sensors are utilized to remote monitor the fill levels of waste bins or containers in real-time and relay the information to a central system. The data from loT sensors is analyzed to enhance the efficiency of waste collection routes and schedules for ensuring that collections occur promptly based on the fill levels of the containers. Real-time adjustments are made to waste collection operations based on the current status of the waste materials, fill levels, and classification outcomes. USE - Method for efficient waste sorting and disposal using deep learning (DL) and internet of things (IoT) sensors. Uses include but are not limited to plastics, metals, paper, organic matter, and non-recyclables. ADVANTAGE - The method enables transforming waste management industry by utilizing the capabilities of DL and IoT to automate and enhance both the sorting and disposal of waste, thus boosting efficiency, lowering operational expenses, and promoting environmental sustainability. The method enables using an automated sorting mechanism that minimizes human error and decreases the need for manual labor, resulting in improved accuracy in waste classification. The method enables using IoT sensors that keep track of waste bin fill levels and monitor waste collection vehicles in real-time, thus generating essential data for optimizing collection schedules and routes. The method enables improving operational efficiency, reducing environmental-impact and promoting sustainable waste management-practices, in urban areas.
